Registration
Your enrollment fee secures a specific seat on a specific class date only.
Full payment is required at the time of registration for each class. Class fees may be paid in person with cash, debit or credit card.
Unless otherwise noted: Classes are for adults and all students must be at least 14 years of age to register unless they are posted specifically as a children’s class. Some classes such as the “Interactive Birthday Party” class have no age restrictions however there must be an attending adult.
Cancellations, Transfers, and Refund Policy
We prepare individually for each participant in advance. This includes fresh cakes, custom fillings, and a full class setup. When a student reschedules, these original preparations are lost, and we must reserve a new seat and repeat the full preparation process.
That new seat, previously sellable—becomes a 100% write-off (a loss) when we reschedule a student. While we strive to be accommodating, giving away seats is not a sustainable business practice.
Our policies are designed to protect the quality and availability of our classes while ensuring fairness to all students and viability for our small business.
We understand that unforeseen circumstances arise
We genuinely empathize with students who are unable to attend for valid reasons. However, when you enroll, you are entering into a clear agreement: we commit to holding a specific seat for you on a specific date, and your commitment is to attend.
This is not just a courtesy—it is a contractual arrangement that allows us to deliver consistently and professionally.
While any one request may seem reasonable on its own, the integrity of our business model depends on applying our policies uniformly. Without this structure, we could not operate reliably at scale or continue to offer the level of quality our students expect.
Transfer Requests
Your enrollment secures a seat in a specific class on a specific date. All classes are non-transferable and non-refundable within 10 full business days of the class date. Business days are defined as Monday through Friday, excluding statutory holidays.
If a transfer request is submitted more than 10 full business days before the class date, the enrollment is eligible for one transfer only, subject to a $25 administrative fee. The new class date must be selected at the time of the request. No credits, deferrals, or future scheduling will be offered under any circumstances.
Transfers will not be granted for any reason within 10 business days of the class. This includes illness, scheduling conflicts, or personal emergencies.
Once a transfer is confirmed, the booking is final, and no further changes will be permitted. If the rescheduled class is missed, the full payment is forfeited.
This policy is firm. It exists to maintain fairness, reduce administrative complexity, and ensure the long-term sustainability of our programs.
No-Show Policy
Failure to attend your class will result in the full forfeiture of your enrollment fee. This includes cancellations made on the day of the class, the evening before, or any time within 10 full business days of the class date. Business days are Monday through Friday, excluding statutory holidays.
Notice given inside 10 business days does not qualify for a refund, transfer, or credit—regardless of the reason. This policy is firm and applies to all situations, including illness or unexpected scheduling conflicts.
To be eligible for a transfer (subject to our $25 fee), you must submit your request more than 10 business days before the class date.
This ensures we can plan, prepare, and deliver a high-quality experience for all students without loss or disruption.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellations made fewer than 10 full business days prior to the class or private event date are non-refundable and non-transferable, regardless of reason.* (Business days are defined as regular banking business days Monday – Friday excluding statutory holidays.)
Refunds (if eligible)
- Refunds must be requested more than 10 full business days before the scheduled class and are subject to a $50 administrative fee.
- For the Home Baker Certificate Bundle, each of the 7 classes is a separate enrollment. Refund eligibility and timing apply to each individual class within the bundle, not the bundle as a whole. No refunds will be issued for classes that have already been rescheduled or have had any special arrangements.
If Lambert Academy Reschedules a Class
If Lambert Academy must reschedule a class for any reason, you will be offered a selection of alternate dates or course substitutions.
We are not responsible for expenses incurred due to cancellation, including travel, lodging, or childcare costs.
Additional Notes for Hobby Classes
- If you wish to send someone in your place, please notify us in advance so we can update the class list.
- Many classes span multiple sessions. Unfortunately, we do not offer make-up classes for missed sessions. (this includes Home Baker Certificate students)
- Classes begin promptly. Please plan to arrive early to allow time to check in and get settled.
- Course content may be adjusted in real time based on time constraints or necessary adaptations.
Classroom Etiquette
- Video recording is not permitted. You may photograph your own finished work, and we encourage social media sharing of your results.
- Please silence mobile phones and keep conversations respectful and low volume.
- Wear comfortable clothing and tie back long hair for health and safety reasons.
Before and After Care
If you require before or after care services for your child and have not pre-purchased the daily before and after care package, a fee of $5 per 15 minutes will be charged. This fee is applicable for any additional time outside of the regular program hours that your child requires supervision.
Please ensure timely pick-up and drop-off to avoid these additional charges.
Professional Cake Designer Certification Program Cancellation
There is a $575 deposit taken to hold your seat that is non refundable. Any refunds for additional payments made will be handled on a case by case basis with a 15% cancellation fee. No refunds once the certification program begins.
Students have a two options for the non refundable deposit:
- Move to a different class date
- Get a voucher to be used within one year of the date of cancellation request.
We keep our classes very small so our students get the attention they deserve. This however impacts us greatly when a program student cancels at the last moment. There is an opportunity cost where another student could have taken that seat however due to the planning most people require that seat will likely go unsold. We also have a lot of set up, tools and product that is pre-purchased for each student in advance.
If the professional program is cancelled or postponed due to an act of God, pandemic, economic uncertainty or events out of our control, students will be offered a credit toward a future professional program date.
Coupon Terms and Conditions
1. Validity Period
Coupons are valid for 1 month from the date of issuance unless specified otherwise. Gift cards are valid until fully redeemed.
2. Redemption and Usage
Coupons can be redeemed only once per transaction. Multiple coupons cannot be combined in a single transaction unless explicitly stated.
3. Transferability and Resale
Coupons are non-transferable and non-resalable. They can only be used by the person they are issued to.
4. Refund and Exchange
Coupons cannot be exchanged for cash or refunded. No partial redemption is allowed.
5. Applicable Products and Exclusions
Coupons are applicable only on selected products and categories. They cannot be used on sale items, bundled products, or exclusive collections unless stated.
6. Minimum Purchase Requirement
Some coupons may require a minimum purchase amount. The specifics will be stated on the coupon itself.
7. Expiry and Unused Coupons
Unused coupons will expire at the end of the validity period and cannot be reissued or extended.
8. Fraud and Abuse
Any attempt to redeem a coupon in violation of these terms will render the coupon void.
9. Digital Gift Cards
Digital gift cards are delivered electronically to the recipient’s email address. The purchaser is responsible for providing the correct email address and details.
10. Scheduling and Delivery
Gift cards can be scheduled for future delivery. The delivery date and time are determined by the purchaser.
11. Error Handling
In case of an error in the email address provided, the purchaser must contact customer service within 24 hours.
12. Changes to Terms
The company reserves the right to change these terms and conditions at any time without prior notice.
